Its been a problem for professional athletes for years, players getting in trouble off the field. Whether is be Aldon Smith and his bomb threat, Josh Gordon "toking" on his couch, Wes Welker popping molly, Josh Brent killing his teamate in a drunk driving accident, the list goes on and on. A professional atheltes, they get paid to play the game, but do you think they should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us? People have drawn a line in the sand on this topic with the recent release of Ray Rice slobber knocking his then fiance in an Atlantic City elevator. Some agree with the Ravens and Roger Goodell and also believe he should be in jail. While others defend Rice saying "who cars what he does off the field."
I want to know what you think. Should we care what pro athletes when they're not playing the game?
